SkinPen® Advanced Skin Needling
What is SkinPen®
SkinPen® is an advanced medical micro needling device that utilises Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) designed to improve the overall appearance and texture of the skin. It is a micro-needling device that works by creating controlled micro-injuries to the skin’s surface, stimulating the skin’s natural healing process.
How does it work?
SkinPen® creates micro-channels in the skin to trigger a natural immune response to disinfect, remove debris and creates new tissue and blood supply to the area.
This helps to reduce the appearance of various skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, pigmentation, melasma, surgical scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone.
Additionally, SkinPen® can be combined with our Pure Platelet- Rich plasma (PRP) treatment. When micro-channels are created in the skin, it allows for enhanced absorption of topical serums and skincare products as well as enhanced absorption of PRP. PRP, obtained from the patient’s own blood, containing growth factors that promote collagen production, skin healing and overall skin health.
When applied topically during or immediately after a SkinPen® treatment, PRP penetrates deeply into the skin through the microchannels, delivering concentrated growth factors. This combination therapy enhances the effectiveness of both treatments, leading to more significant improvements in skin texture, tone and firmness.
